He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifton "Sid" Shiets and Alma Shiets (Meacham); and his brothers, Gary and Sydney Shiets. He is survived by: his wife Debora K. Vollmer; his children, Melissa Shiets (Hille) and Brian Shiets; his grandchildren, Nicholas Herevia, Joshua Deluca and Ariel Shiets; and his siblings, Jim Shiets, Sally Shiets and Linda Shiets Firth. He is also survived by many nieces & nephews.
Memorial contributions in memory of Dale can be given to the Ottawa County Humane Society or the American Cancer Society.
