He is survived by: his wife Nydia; his daughters, Catherine Bowers (Scott) and Mary Kessler (Slate); and his grandchildren, Alex Bowers (Amber), John Bowers (Katie), Mary Katherine Bowers, Jack Kessler and Elena Kessler. He is also survived by sisters; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
