He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Phillips and Bertha Phillips (Dempsey); his wife Marcy Phillips; and his brothers, James Phillips, Robert Phillips and William Phillips.
He is survived by: his children, Diana Leapley (Bill) of Blacklick and Michael Phillips (Vicki) of Bucyrus, Ohio.; his grandchildren, Zachary Phillips and Elizabeth Leapley; and his stepgrandchildren, Matthew Teynor (Jenna) and Stacey Nelson (Thad).
