He was predeceased by: his parents, John Baumgardner and Mary Baumgardner; and his brothers, John Gilbert Baumgardner and Joseph David Baumgardner. He is survived by: his children, Rebecca Conner and Curtis Smith; and his siblings, Earl Baumgardner (Sarah), Mary Jane Forrester and Pamela Dailey (Scott).
