It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Walter Decker (Pomeroy, Ohio), who passed away on April 9, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his son Richard; and his siblings, Doris, Millie, Icy and Bub.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn; his sisters, Patty (Rus) of Middleport, OH and Opal of Henderson, WV; his children, Bruce, Brian (Melinda), Crystal (Tim) and Tammy (Charlie); and his grandchildren, Jordan (Brianna), Tannor (Sarah), Haleigh (Doodle), Sawyer, Savannah, Drew, Trey, Sammantha (JC), Brittney, Jacob (Kenzie), Taylor, Rikki (Eli), Noah (Natalie) and Mason. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Anderson McDaniel Funeral Homes (590 E Main St, Pomeroy, OH 45769). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association in Sonny's honor.
