He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Phillips and Norma Phillips (Hook); his sisters, Shelby Pierce and Cheryl Hamilton; and his nephew Michael Hitchings.
He is survived by: his significant other Debbie Nelson; and his nieces and nephews, Vicky Smith (Daryl), Penny Holliday (Gary), Christina Jackson (John), Harold Lee Hamilton, Terra Stiers and Greg Hitchings.
