He was predeceased by: his parents, Lafe Cogar and Edith Cogar; his daughter Angel Cogar; and his siblings, Bernard Jordan, William Cogar, Sharon Rizer, Mary Jo Coats, Ginger Reed, Robert Cogar and Eugene Cogar.
He is survived by: his children, Angela Rice (Ron), Richard Cogar and Randall Cogar (Julie); his grandchildren, Rachel Rice, Austin Rice, Jacob Rice, Andrew Cogar and Landon Cogar; his siblings, Jerry Cogar, Nettie Fulenwider (Jim), Helen Frank, Judy Lee (Charlie) and Loretta; his niece Laura Ann VanConney; and his brother-in-law J. R. VanCooney. He is also survived by Several nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
