It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joanne Vaughan (Pomeroy, Ohio), who passed away on November 9, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Chester Thorton and Ruth Marie Dagley Thorton; her siblings, John Bernard, Emmogene Mercer and Elizabeth Trout; and her daughter Dica Suzanne Milhoan.
She is survived by: her children, Patricia Perry of Minnesota, Howard M. Lawrence Jr. (Elizabeth) of Long Bottom and Daniel A. Lawrence (Jamie) of Powell; her grandchildren, Andrew J. Henderson (Jacqueline), Sarah Lawrence, Makayla and Matthew Lawrence; and her great grandchildren, Estrella, Rainier and River Henderson. She is also survived by Many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In place of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the charity of choice in Joanne's name with her favorite causes being Meigs County 4-H Endowment Fund, local churches, or Veteran groups (Post 39 Pomeroy American Legion Auxiliary, VFW Post 9053 Auxiliary).
