He is survived by: his wife Carol Sue Pierce (Friend) of Pomeroy; his son James R. II Pierce (Mandy) of Point Pleasant; his stepson Chad Long of Patriot, OH; his grandchildren, Haley Elliott (Stephen), Morgan Pierce and Kaden Pierce; his great grandchildren, Tinsley Elliott and Rilynn Elliott; and his sister Sherry McBride of Gallipolis, OH. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
