He was predeceased by: his father D. Herbert Whaley; and his siblings, Eddie Whaley and Jo Ann Scarbrough. He is survived by: his wife Sheila Coulson Whaley; his children, Carla Swartz (John), Brian Whaley (Gloria), Pam Patterson (Rick), Brent Whaley (Heather) and Marissa Whaley; his grandchildren, Tiffany, Ashley, Cassie, Holly, Caitlin, Alex, Brenton, Kelsey, Chelsea, Connor, Keely, Kenzie, Shelby, Ahna and Marisa; his siblings, Bob Whaley (Shelia), Brenda Cogar and Terry Neece (Chris); his sister-in-law Colleen Whaley; and his close friends, Dave Smith, Sherman White, Eddie Woodyard, Dan Tobin and Archie Stegall. He is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
