Though Robert may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, his essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert G. Ickes and Ethel Ickes (Kramer); his wife Helen Myers Ickes; and his brother Paul Ickes. He is survived by: his children, Timothy Ickes (Tami) of Polk and Kathy Ickes (David Miller); his grandchildren, Todd Guy Ickes (Victoria), Tara Ickes Creager (Ross) of Delaware, OH, Tonya Ickes of Medina, OH, Wade Miller and Hana Miller; and his sister Elma Fisher of Wooster. He is also survived by 6 great-grandsons, 2 great- granddaughters.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Fickes Funeral Home (84 N High St, Jeromesville, OH 44840). A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
