He was predeceased by: his parents, Nevin Altfather and Viola Altfather (Sechler); his former wife Aletha Altfather (Holmes); his son James Daniel Altfather; and his sister Judith Altfather.
He is survived by: his wife Nyla Sue Altfather; his children, Julie Ann Cline (James), Roberta Linn Thompson (Richard), Rebecca Sue Kelly, Rick Bowen and David W. Jones (Judy); and his pet Max. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren, numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and a son-in-law.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Polk Cemetery.
