He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman Sr. Burton and Grace Roseanna Burton (Dudley); his great grandchildren, Remington Ford Burton and Braxton George Burton; and his siblings, Owen, Ricky, Connie, Larry, Rosetta and Carl (Roger "Allen").
He is survived by: his wife Ruth Burton (Hoskins); his children, Jeffrey Burton (Penny), Wendell Sr. Burton (Carrie) and Sherry Burton (Jeremy Furr); his grandchildren, Daniel Burton (Sheyanne Jenkins), Jeffrey Tyler Burton (Erin Peden), Tristin Burton (Hannah), Kandace Burton, Jacob Burton, Leslie Callahan (Cody) and Wendell Burton Jr.; his great grandchildren, Boston, Bentley, Braden, Brilynn, Teagan, Makenna and Hudson; his siblings, Joe Burton and Ina Kay Russell (Chuck); and his close friends, John and Diane Justice. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Living Truth Community Church (631 S Main St, Willard, OH 44890). A funeral service was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
