He was predeceased by: his wife Emily W. Proffitt Turner; and his son Jon B. Turner. He is survived by: his son Kim Turner (Melanee) of Richmond; his daughter-in-law Judy Turner of Lancaster, Ohio; his grandchildren, Corey Turner (Jana) of Tennessee, Craig Turner (Tiffany) of Tennessee and J. W. Turner of Lancaster, Ohio; and his great grandchildren, Colton Turner and Quinn Turner. He is also survived by cousins; and many friends.
