It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thomas Schatzley of Pleasant Hill, Ohio, born in Troy, Ohio, who passed away on July 4, 2021, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Kyle and Beatrice Schatzley (Thompson); his wife Marcia Ann Schatzley; his sister Frances Long; and his brothers-in-law, Harold Avey, Jr. and Robert Long.
He is survived by: his children, Amy, John Vance of Troy, Thomas Kyle, III and Kim Schatzley of Englewood; his grandchildren, Daniel Vance, Matt, Tabby Sloboda, Mattison Vance, Megan Sloboda, Ashley Vance and Lauren Schatzley; and his sister-in-law Sandra "Sonnie" Avey. He is also survived by numerous niece and nephews.
