She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Vernon Rittgers and Edith Rittgers (Johnson); her husband Charlie McGriff; her brother Joe Rittgers; her son Michael David; her daughter-in-law Debbie McGriff of Clyde Township, Michigan; her daughter Melissa; her son-in-law Jaime Olaya of Laura; and her grandchildren, Charlie McGriff, Chelsie McGriff, James Olaya, Nicholas Olaya and Sofia Olaya.
