He was predeceased by: his father David McDowell; and his brothers, Michael McDowell and Richard McDowell. He is survived by: his wife Carla McDowell; his children, Nicholas McDowell (Bailey) of Plain City, Samuel McDowell (Holly) of Galloway, Nate McDowell of Lancaster and Ryan McDowell of Hilliard; his grandchildren, Kingston McDowell, Kendrick McDowell, Crew Fisher and Sullivan McDowell; his mother Bettye Pendelton of Hilliard; his sister Micki Shier of Hilliard; and his sister-in-law Carol McDowell of Hilliard. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
