He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel I. Hochstetler and Barbara Hochstetler (Schmucker); his siblings, Alma, Irvin, Lydia Mae, Ivan, Katie, Milo, Alvin and Edward; and his grandsons, Jeffry and Jerid Hochstetler.
He is survived by: his wife Lydia Mae Hochstetler (Hochstetler); and his children, Rebecca Irias (Cristobal), Daniel Hochstetler (Lorene), Anna Sue Moreno (Epaminondas), Ruth Irias (Jesus), Joseph Hochstetler (Manuela), Catherine Stoltzfus (Sam), John Hochstetler (Miriam), Barbara Hochstetler (Wilmer Irias), Mary Jean Shirk (Phil), Margaret Miller (Mark) and Martha Rapalo. He is also survived by 39 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.
