He was predeceased by: his parents, Aaron Boggs and Rosella Boggs (Burton); his son David C. Boggs II; and his siblings, Hughie, Charles Boggs and Brenda Eulett.
He is survived by: his wife Dottie L. Boggs; his children, Lisa Barker (Boggs) and James Boggs (Shannon); his grandchildren, Hannah, Shane, Taylor, Todd Jr., Damien and Dominik; and his great grandchildren, Jonathan, Jonah and Delilah. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
