She was predeceased by: her parents, Owen Messer and Polly Messer Spradling (Smith); her daughter Theresea Lynn Sidenstricker; and her siblings, Matilda "Cricket" Smith, Linda Cottrill and James Messer.
She is survived by: her husband Jack Sidenstricker; her children, Kimberly Reneé Proffitt (Rodney) and David Lee Sidenstricker (Athena); her grandchildren, Madelyn Marie Sidenstricker, Brodie Lee Sidenstricker and Alexander Bruce Proffitt; and her sisters, Brenda Bray (Asa Schreck) and Perva Leach. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other cherished family members and good friends.
