He was predeceased by: his daughter Lida; his grandson Bryan Hershberger; and his parents, Mose H and Susie (Stutzman). He is survived by: his wife Edna Lucille; his children, Sue Kaufman and Mark Kaufman; his daughters-in-law, Amy Lilly and Heather Wengerd; his grandchildren, Drew Hershberger (Gwynne), Heidi Payne (Erik), Laurel and Elias Alvin Kaufman; his great grandchildren, Carter, Emerson and Addison Payne; and his sister Marie Slabaugh.
