He was predeceased by: his father Lester Butts; his wife Amy S. Clark; and his brother Melvin. He is survived by: his children, Shawn Trisler (Satomi) of Philadelphia, William E. Butts, II (Christen), Steve Butts of Sidney, Ricky Carrol (Devyn) of Greenville, T. J., Rob Kiser (Amanda) of Piqua, Teresa Fierstos of Pendleton, Charity Hough (Tony) of Wabash, Paula Pierce (George) of Huber Heights, Ashley Meads of Union and April Pence (Craig) of Botkins; and his siblings, Melinda Hanshaw (Eddie) of Troy, Wauneta Bell of Piqua, Eddie Butts (Roxanne) of Troy, Carol Ann of Dayton, Tommy of California and Hazel Lee of Dayton. He is also survived by 24 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren.
