He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Albert and Frances Mae Grove Lehto (Chavey); and his sister Edith Ann Koontz. He is survived by: his children, Tom Grove Jr. (Robyn) of Hilliard, Marty Grove of Piqua, Jenny Sneed (Brent M. D.) of Indianapolis and Chris Grove M. D. (Becky) of Ormond Beach, Florida; his grandchildren, Ryan (Lina), Kristen, Kurt (Danielle), Darrin (Conner), Jason (Carlie), Jared, Jocey, Abby and Ben; and his great grandchildren, Sadie, Brody and Jonah.
