He was predeceased by: his father Ward L. "Louie" Halm. He is survived by: his stepchildren, Rob Valentine (Melanie) of Columbus and Julie Landers (Samuel Reck) of Piqua; his granddaughters, Elizabeth and Alexandra; his siblings, Dick Hodges (Susan) of Piqua and Lou Ellen Oakes (Cork) of Piqua; his niece Faye Oakes; and his nephews, Cody Oakes (Colleen) and Brent Hodges (Janel).
