She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard M. "Mitch" Petty and Janice E. Petty (Long); her sister Michelle Lynn Petty; and her sisters-in-law, Darlene Petty and Linda Shira.
She is survived by: her husband Richard L. Jones August; her siblings, Mitchell Petty (Sandy) of Mt. Gilead, Randy Petty (Amie) of Piqua, Timothy Petty (Karen) of Piqua, Darin Petty of Piqua, Deborah Petty of Piqua, Valerie Frazier (Scott) of Piqua and Catherine Baker (Phil) of Rushville; and her brothers-in-law, Denny Jones (Julie) and Bob Jones (Diana). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
