He was predeceased by: his father Roscoe Ditmer; his wife Doris J. Penny; his son Gary Ditmer; and his siblings, Donald Ditmer, Betty Dickey, Linda Ditmer, Phyllis Yoder, Cheryl Zeller and Carolyn Whitmer.
He is survived by: his children, Michael E. Ditmer (Sheryl) of Piqua, OH, Douglas D. Ditmer (Yvonne) of Piqua, OH and Diana Christy (Terry) of Piqua, OH; his siblings, Donna Baker of Greenville, OH and Galen Brown of Miamisburg, OH; and his brother-in-law Joe Whitmer of Decatur, AL. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren.
