He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer and Mary E. Sherry (Masner); his son Marc Sherry; and his siblings, Doris Shahan, William Sherry and Robert Sherry.

He is survived by: his daughters, Linda Arbogast (David) of Troy and Lisa Akas (Michael) of Powell; his daughter-in-law Barbara Sherry of Piqua; and his grandchildren, Blake Arbogast (Kim), Alison Arbogast-Martin (Ethan), James Sherry, Michael Sherry (Carin), Ted Akas and Anna Akas. He is also survived by nine great grandchildren.
