He was predeceased by: his parents, Dan Johns and Margaret Johns (Yearsley); his siblings, Bill Johns, Dan Johns and Nancy Roeth; and his granddaughter Lindsay Donadio.

He is survived by: his children, Janell Claudy (Rick) of Arcanum, Mark Johns (Donald Svetich) of Billings and Joni Walker (Mark) of Piqua; his grandchildren, Lisa Rankin (Marco), Laura Donadio, Andrew Walker (Krista), Jeffrey Walker (Lyndsey), Allena Walker (Geoffrey Townsend), Sarah Depoy (Jerrod) and Naryan Claudy; and his siblings, Amos Johns (Carol) of Piqua, Peg Flinn of Beavercreek and Caroline Langston of Indianapolis, Indiana.. He is also survived by thirteen great grandchildren.
