He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Mayse and Anna Mayse (Isom); and his siblings, William "Jay" Mayse, Willie Mayse, Pauline Bey, Ada Wion and Christine McLaughlin.
He is survived by: his sons, Jeff Mayse of Piqua and Martin "Marty" Mayse of Wayzata, Minnesota; his grandson Michael Mayse of Dayton; and his siblings, Jamie Mayse (Kathy) of Piqua, Walter "Junior" Mayse (Ann) of Sidney and Elizabeth "Ebet" Scott of Sidney.
