He was predeceased by: his parents, John F. Monroe and Ida E. Monroe (Leckey); his brother Richard Monroe; his sister-in-law Joann Monroe; his sister Catherine Cline; and his brother-in-law Carl Cline.
He is survived by: his wife Vera J. Norris; his son Rick; his daughter-in-law Sue Monroe of Piqua, OH; his daughter Pam; his son-in-law James Hutchinson of Ludlow Falls, OH; and his grandchildren, James Hutchinson, Bradley Hutchinson, Jeremy Monroe, Darrick Monroe and Julie Monroe. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
