He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Caulfield and Helen Caulfield (Crowley); his wife Sylvia Beckert; his siblings, Tom, Patricia, Carolyn and Joan; and his son Joseph Caulfield.
He is survived by: his sons, Mike Caulfield (Pam) of Piqua, John E. Caulfield, Jr. (Susan) of Piqua, Matt Caulfield (Lynette) of Piqua, Mark Caulfield (Diana) of Sidney and James Caulfield (Rochelle) of New Carlisle; and his sister Rita Barhorst of Greenville. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; ten great grandchildren.
