James E. Root Obituary
We bid farewell to James E. Root of Piqua, Ohio, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on December 13, 2024 at the age of 87. James touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Ruth Root (Berryhill); his daughter Debra Wortman (David); and also, Ora, Ouida, Jesse, Arthur, Dean, Clara and Bonnie.
He is survived by: his granddaughter Alexa "Chelle" Mendleson (Brian); his great grandchild Bridgette McDaniel; his stepson Cecil "Buddy" Evers (Beth); and his grandchildren, Lee (Ashley) and Ben (Paige). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Bridges-Stocker-Fraley Funeral Home (160 N High St, Covington, OH 45318).
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Ohio Hospice of Miami County or Happy Gospel Church, 1915 53rd Avenue E, Bradenton, FL 34203.
