He was predeceased by: his parents, James M. Barton and Nell Fanning Herron; his parents-in-law, Luke and Bert Hoelscher; and his brother-in-law Charles "Chuck" Wagner.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Barton (Hoelscher); his daughters, Kara Barton (Ken Rose) and Jenny Collum (Lance); his grandchildren, Kameron Barton, Clay Selsor (Chelsea), Kaden Barton Rose, Kenna Barton Rose and Allen Seagraves; his great grandchild Seagraves; his siblings-in-law, Rebecca Wagner, Mark Hoelscher and Jason Hoelscher (Johanna); and his niece Gwen Wagner.
