She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph P. Smith, and Clara R. Smith, Sr. (Adams); her husband Elmer H. Deitering; and her brothers, Joseph and David.
She is survived by: her children, Rick Deitering (Candy) of Covington, Chris Deitering (Shannon) of Hays, Kansas, Victoria Lowery-Hopkins (Dan) of Tiffin and Jerri Barlage (Kevin) of Houston; and her sister Miriam Lois Campbell (Gus) of Huber Heights. She is also survived by ten grandchildren; eight great grandchildren.
