He was predeceased by: his father Joseph Franz; and his brother Michael Franz. He is survived by: his sons, Freddie Franz (Mary) of Piqua, Kenneth A. Franz of Piqua and Mark J. Franz of Piqua. He is also survived by five grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
