He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Hampton and Sallie Hampton (Walls); his son Charles Hampton; and his brothers, Bobby Jack Hampton and Donald Hampton (Jean).
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Hampton (Reeser); his son Rod Hampton (Elizabeth) of Nashville, Tennessee; his grandchildren, Finnick, Maxfield and Piper Hampton; and his siblings, Gordon "Bud" Hampton (Annette) of Texas, Norma McKenna of Piqua, Linda Berrett (Dave) of Troy and Janice Hampton of Piqua. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
