He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Scherer and Barbara Scherer (Rife); and his brothers, Larry Scherer and Mike Scherer. He is survived by: his children, Brian Scherer of Dallas, OR, Chris Scherer, Lindsey Scherer and Mackenzi Scherer; his sister Kimberly Elliott of Piqua, OH; and his grandchildren, Cayden, Coby, Hailey, Brendan, Alyssa, Emalee, Miles, Laneigh, Bennett, Carmen, Kendra and Breanna.
