He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Shannon and Harriet Shannon (Copeland); his son Ronald Shannon; and his siblings, Frank, George, Clara, Grace, Francis and Abby.
He is survived by: his wife Gloria M. Boney; his daughter Roberta; his son-in-law Richard Rouse of Piqua, OH; his son Richard; his daughter-in-law Barbara Shannon of Portland, OR; his brother Lewis Shannon of Franklin, IN; and his grandchildren, Kevin Rouse (Kristen), Kyle Rouse (Becca Birckhead), Kurt Rouse (Tessa) and Samantha Anderson (Christian). He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
