It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Bert Shaner of Piqua, Ohio, born in Shelby, Ohio, who passed away on August 8, 2021, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Shaner and Ida Shaner (Cavender); his granddaughter Marissa Shaner; and his siblings, Joe, John Shaner and Irene Maxwell.

He is survived by: his wife Regina Shaner (Shumaker); his sons, Barry Shaner (Chrisann) of Sylvania, Ken Shaner (Kathy) of Sharonville and James Shaner of Springfield; his grandchildren, Sara Shaner, Aaron Shaner, Elizabeth Shaner, Kara Fitzpatric (Mike), Kyle Shaner (Brianna), Hunter Shaner, Quinn Shaner and Alex Shaner; his great grandchildren, Reagan, Reid and Remy Shaner; his brother Paul Shaner of Piqua; and his sister-in-law Sheila Shumaker of Piqua. He is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
