She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Dockery and Violet Dockery (Hardy); her husband Joseph R. Coate; her grandson Ronny Coate; and her great grandchildren, Parker Jutte and Elliot Jutte.
She is survived by: her sons, Randy Coate (Jackie) of Troy, OH and Richard Coate (Ronald Coate) of Piqua, OH; and her stepbrother Gary Winemiller. She is also survived by ten grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Melcher-Sowers Funeral Home (646 High St, Piqua, OH 45356). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
