He was predeceased by: his father William Tipps; his spouse Shirley A. Zoellers; his close friend Joan Burch; and his siblings, Melvin Tipps, Gordon Tipps, Yvonne Hale and Geraldine Stephens.
He is survived by: his children, Allen Tipps (Sandra) of Troy, Gary Tipps (Vicki) of Piqua, Randy Tipps of Piqua and Debbie Philipps (Howard) of Piqua; and his sister Henrietta Miller (Don) of Bethalto, Illinois.. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
