He was predeceased by: his parents, James Albert and Sylvia Belle Rutledge (Lomis); his wife Doral Jean; and his siblings, Lewis, James, Verl and Reba Gonzales.
He is survived by: his children, Chester A. Rutledge of Montpelier, Alvin Rutledge (Suzanne) of Pioneer, Mitchell L. Rutledge of Stryker, David J. Rutledge of Pioneer, Catherine A. Rutledge of Pioneer and Christina Crook of Reading, MI; his grandchildren, Megan, Logan and Sierra Crook; his stepgrandchildren, Jeremy, Josh Miller, Jeremy Jr., Andrew, Alexia and Abigale; and his great great grandchildren, Willow, Sawyer and Lincoln.
Due to the ongoing pandemic facial covering are encouraged.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Pioneer United Methodist Church or the Pioneer VFW.
