He was predeceased by: his parents, J. E. Steinke and Dorothy Steinke (Cline); and his brothers, Derald and Larry Steinke. He is survived by: his wife Sharon E. Rupp; his sons, Richard "Ric" Steinke (Sara) of Pioneer and Kurt Steinke (Alanna) of Ten Sleep, Wyoming; his grandson Jacob E. Steinke (Emily) of North Canton, Ohio; his siblings, Col. Donald Steinke (Terry) of Montpelier, Doloris "Chip" Bumb (Walter) of Montpelier and Pat Eisel (Ron) of Alvordton; and his sister-in-law Mary Steinke of Pioneer. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
