He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Modesitt and Lillian Modesitt (Way); and his stepmother Lyla Modesitt. He is survived by: his sisters, Cathy Vandergrift (Matthew) and Tereasa Marlow. He is also survived by 6 nieces and nephews, several great nieces and nephews.
