He is survived by: his mother Rita Hurt of Columbus, Ohio.; his stepfather Darrell Daniel of Columbus; his children, Bradley Hurt (Paige) of Beaver, Shanna Hurt of Piketon, Paul Hurt (Dawn) of Piketon and Bobbi Jo Casto (Max) of Columbus; his grandchildren, Kinley Hurt, Mackenzie Hurt and Jennavesia Hardin; his sister Stacy Daniel of Columbus; and his former wife Nicole Hurt of Piketon, Ohio..

“In loving memory of Wesley Shane Hurt, With deepest sympathies my condolences to the family, Shane will be missed and loved but never forgotten, I am his Mom's first cousin from Flint MI, but we are more like sisters so Shane seemed more like my nephew, I also named my son after him because I loved that name and he went to be with the Lord last year at age 40, It's so difficult and sad to lose a child. I pray for strength and guidance for all the family. I'm saddened by the loss.”
