With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Nora Christine Tackett of Piketon, Ohio, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 30, 2024 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Marshall Hammonds and Dorothy Waughtel; her spouse Oba Tackett; her daughter Betty Combs; her granddaughter Wendy Alley; her siblings, John Hammonds, Howard Hammonds, Lee Hammonds, Helen Edith Wolfe, Tina Gillam and Amanda Rigby; and her stepfather Sonny Campbell.
She is survived by: her children, Tammy Jo Delawder of Piketon, Season Nemeth (John) of Tennessee and Nora Lee Byrd (Bill) of Waverly; and her sister Alice Tackett (Tom) of Waverly. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 4th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Botkin Hornback Funeral Home. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 4th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, December 4th 2024 at the Mound Cemetery.
