With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jeffrey Wayne Burkitt of Piketon, Ohio, born in Portsmouth, Ohio, who passed away on March 7, 2021 at the age of 68. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Burkitt and Glenna Williams Burkitt; and his brother Jerry Burkitt. He is survived by: his wife Vanessa Knight Burkitt; his children, C. J. Burkitt (Leslie) of Chillicothe, Ohio and Jessica Burkitt of Texas; his grandchildren, Justin Waulk, Hope Waulk, Madelyn Smith, Braiden Smith, Clayton Smith and Gavin Smith; and his sister Judy Lemaster of Waverly. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Due to the current state mandate the family has asked that all visitors wear a mask.
