He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Wayne and Delores Ann Young (Hofka); his brother Thomas Young; his grandparents, Alex, Arlene Young, Stanley and Mary Hofka; and his uncle Joe Wenger.

He is survived by: his brother David Young (Amy); his sister-in-law Cathleen Young (Bean); his nieces, Emily, Joslyn, Rylee and Hannah; his aunt Myrna Young; and his friend Eilene Deeter.
