It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Anthony of Pickerington, Ohio, who passed away on March 3, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis Austin and Lela May Austin (Boswell); her husband Joe Lee Anthony; and her siblings, Tessie Carlisle, Mary Austin Tellis, Eula Austin, Annie Ree Preston, Addie Ruth Johnson, Emely Austin, James Thomas Austin, Willie Austin, Deacon Curley Austin, Henry Austin, LJ Austin, Willie Henry Austin, Fred L Austin and Luther Austin.

She is survived by: her children, Karen Evans (Michael), Cynthia Solomon and Joe Anthony (Antoinette); her grandchildren, Michael Evans, Nicole Smith, Ajoilyn Anthony, Cedrick Anthony and Jodeci Ramsey; her great grandchildren, Trae Evans, Aniya McCravey, Michael Rice IV and Zion Buie; her sisters, Martha Thomas (Johnnie), Tiller Blair (Fletcher) and Johnnie Mae McNeil; her nephews, Willie Curtis Blair, Marvin, David, Norman and Dwayne Shepard; and also Shirley Gayles.

She started attending New Zion AME Church in Tallassee, Alabama virtually during COVID.
