He was predeceased by: his son Kevin Burns. He is survived by: his wife Marlene Burns; his children, Coelleen Gerhard (Ian), Mike J. Burns and Janice L. Austin (Alton); and his stepchildren, Matthew Garcia (Maria) and Michelle Garcia-Juchter (Timothy). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren.
Donations may be made in his name to the Special Olympics.
